Labor-saving deflection measurement method for short span bridges

Return to theme list page

How much does a bridge deflect when a car passes by? Having this value makes it easier to evaluate the bridge's load-bearing performance. Deflection can be measured by simply installing a single sensor on the bridge, without setting up a tripod on the road or under the bridge. We aim to use this method to evaluate the performance of aged bridges and to determine whether a bridge can be used immediately after an earthquake.
